As with black puddings, brown pudding varieties attack by grabbing and squeezing their prey.
Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, the pudding must hit with its slam attack. If it gets a hold, it can constrict.
Acid (Ex): The different pudding species effect materials in different ways. The following list summarizes pudding acid capabilities. Values indicate damage done to objects made from the indicated material per round. Asterisked values indicate weapons and armor made from such materials must make a Reflex save at the listed DC or dissolve upon contact.
- Metal -
- Stone -
- Wood 50* - DC 17
- Leather 50* DC 17
Constrict (Ex): Puddings inflict automatic slam and acid damage with a successful grapple check. The opponent's clothing and armor suffer a -4 penalty to Reflex saves against the acid.
Split (Ex): Weapons deal no damage to puddings. Instead the creature splits into two identical puddings, each with half the original's hit points (round down). A pudding with only 1 hit point cannot be further split.
Hide (Ex): White puddings are extremely difficult to spot against snow and ice. They add +6 to Spot DCs attempting to locate them in such situations.
