Disintegrating Touch (Su): Like the sphere of annihilation, the black ball disintegrates anything that it touches. However, instead of simply pulling matter into its void, the black ball erases whatever object it touches. Whenever it moves into an occupied space with an object the black ball immediately destroys it, moving through any and all matter that it touches. If it enters a space occupied by a creature or character, the potential victim is granted a Reflex save DC 18. Success indicates that they were able to "get out of its way." Failure, on the other hand, forces the victim to roll on the following table.

RollResult
1Hand (50% chance of left or right) Consult DMG 66-67 for results
2Arm (50% chance of left or right) Consult DMG 66-67 for results
3Foot (50% chance of left or right) Consult DMG 66-67 for results
4Leg (50% chance of left or right) Consult DMG 66-67 for results
5Both arms (50% chance of left or right) Consult DMG 66-67 for results
6Both legs (50% chance of left or right) Consult DMG 66-67 for results
7Abdomen (Immediate Death)
8Torso (Immediate Death)
9Head (Immediate Death)
10Entire Body (Immediate Death)- impossible to raise.

Victims so affected may only restore lost body parts by either a miracle or wish. Obviously, if a character or creature is slain in this manner they may be resurrected provided that there is enough remaining matter required to cast the spell.

Immunities: As a construct, the blackball is immune to min-influencing effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects), poison, sleep, paralysis, stunning, disease, death effects, necromantic effects, critical hits, subdual damage, ability damage or drain, and finally death by massive damage. Unlike Spheres of Annihilation, the black ball cannot be controlled, and it is immune to all spells. The only things that can affect a black ball are the following:

Device/SpellResult
Rod of CancellationRod is destroyed, Black ball immobile for 1 round
Portable Hole placed into a bag of holdingSends the black ball to a random plane
Touched by a Sphere of AnnihilationThe black ball and everything within 200 feet is completely destroyed, including the sphere of annihilation.
